This Kingsett property was an extremely challenging project. The 40,000 sf property was located near a busy intersection on Yonge St. The façade was considered Heritage and needed to remain the same. The entire building with the exception of the façade was torn down and rebuilt. A basement level plus 3 floors and a mezzanine were reconstructed all while businesses and residence around the area were still operational. The site was so confined and the only way to access the site with heavy equipment was through a back “L” shaped alley, making it challenging for heavy equipment and steel deliveries. While the façade remained the windows were replace, design in the same historic manner as the original ones The project was completed the summer of 2015. The project has now lured Rexall Pharmacies as a tenant who will occupy the basement, ground and mezzanine level.
