During the recession of the early 1990s, George Owasu and Tom Pettypiece recognized a need in the Industrial, Commercial and Institutional (ICI) industry for construction services that would provide excellent quality and deliver on the promises made. Former employees of a major construction firm, the duo created Leeswood Construction to address this niche market with a focus on quality rather than volume. They agreed to take only the amount of work they could complete comfortably within their stringent guidelines.
In time, the owners took on the additional partners of Gary Algar, Wayne Cole and Joe Domingos, all well respected industry professionals, who share backgrounds in the same firm.
Current owners Mike Clark, Pat Spanjers and Brad Woodbine had worked with the original team members for years, and felt confident and proud about carrying on the tradition of excellence the Leeswood name had earned.
Clark, Spanjers and Woodbine considered the previous management team the best performers in the industry for quality and satisfaction. Their substantial amount of repeat business is a testament to the legacy carried by the Leeswood name.
Over the years, the company has grown from the two original owners to a full on and off-sire team. Leeswood Construction is an industry leader in design build, general construction and construction management. Currently, the firm focuses on blue-chip clients, with a diverse portfolio.
Leeswood has its own in-house design capabilities and offers uncompromising quality, efficiency and competitive pricing in design/build services, with all projects supervised by the company principals.
Consistently on budget and schedule, Leeswood continues to uphold a policy of 100% client satisfaction. Whether assisting clients in building new facilities or renovating existing ones, Leeswood Construction has built a reputation as the firm to turn to for Building Confidence.
